- A valve was required for a pipeline filled with hydrochloric acid.
- Further requirements were
- that the pipeline fitting can be installed in the ATEX zone,
- that the fitting has pipe ends made of electrically conductive polyethylene (PE-1000 ELS) so that it can be welded to a welding neck flange made of PE.
- The pinch sleeve was also designed to be electrically conductive on the inside.
