Flange-to-flange (FTF) lenght of valves acc. EN 558

made of metal for installation in pipelines with flanges

The overall lengths of valves are defined as basic series in EN 558-1. In this standard, construction lengths valid throughout Europe were introduced, whereby as a rule the previously nationally valid construction lengths were adopted. For example, the flange-to-flange lengths F4 and F5 (DIN 3202) were adopted as basic series 14 (“F4”) and 15 (“F5”).

Additional informations to FTF-length of valves:

  • These standards can be obtained from www.beuth.de.
  • Note: The overall lengths of pinch valves are not standardised, as the pinch sleeve length determines the length of the pinch valves. For this reason, for example, aluminium pinch valves are longer than stainless steel pinch valves.
